Salua Borges is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, internationally recognized competitor, and the founder and head coach of ON MODE JIU JITSU.
Throughout her competitive career, Salua has reached the top of the world rankings and earned an exceptional list of accomplishments, including five World Championships, four Pan-American Championships, two Brazilian Championships, 23 American National titles, and one South American Championship.
Beyond her achievements in competition, Salua’s greatest passion is teaching. With years of experience coaching children, teenagers, adults, women, beginners, competitors, and neurodivergent students, she understands that every student learns differently. Her teaching style combines high-level technique with patience, encouragement, discipline, and genuine care for each person who steps onto the mat.
Salua believes that Jiu-Jitsu is much more than a sport. It is a powerful tool for building confidence, resilience, focus, physical strength, emotional balance, and character. Her mission is to help children believe in themselves, empower women to discover their strength, guide adults toward personal growth, and create an environment where every family feels welcomed and supported.
Through ON MODE JIU JITSU, Salua has created more than an academy—she has built a community where students train with purpose, grow with confidence, and learn to carry the ON MODE mindset into every area of their lives.
We are more than a team. We are a community. We are ON MODE.
